There are several articles floating around the web from journalists who have had a chance to play a limited demo version of Fallout 3. These journalists have only seen a very small part of the game, basically only some shooting scenes and not the character creation or quest parts of the game.  An avid RPG player will want to know some more details, and we have them for you ....

The XBOX360 version is going to be released first, and we have received some news from people who have been able to play this FULL VERSION already !! We have limited information available now, but stay tuned for more details ...

So far we have learned that : 

The game will start with the players birth, where he will be taken to scenes a few years apart each time, to make choices which will determine his specific character development. Birth, 3 years old, 10 years old and 16 years old.

After character creation, you are launched into the game's main storyline where you will already have a connection with some of the NPC's in the game (you met them during character creation). You'll be able to make very different choices right from the start, determining a LOT about your future.

The 'battle interface' can be used in both real time and turn based mode. In the turn based mode you will be able to target specific parts of the body, that way you can 'disable' the enemies arm holding his gun, or just go straight for the head ! This is of course an element from the previous incarnations of Fallout, where it was an extremely important gameplay element. A little tip from us, taking out someone's arm is usually quicker then blasting their head off .. of course you won't get the beatiful graphic of exploding heads when you choose this method.
